From Brandon at 2008-03-28 21:37:33 : I think this CityLink branding suits these Citaros much better than the Red Arrows. Is it known what livery or branding the batch of Citaros for the 35 will be?
From Chris White at 2008-03-29 12:06:12 : Haven't a clue lol, we'll probably find out in 2-3 weeks as I think the service changes for the 35 are due to take place at the end of April.
From Chris White at 2008-04-19 18:05:10 : It will be called the Laser-though I thought GNE might have come up with a name more relevent to the route but never mind lol. We'll find out soon enough what colour it will be but if Citylink is gold then really I think they could pick another colour. Mercs would look good in black I say!
From Brandon at 2008-04-21 21:31:57 : It seems an odd livery to have on this route. The 35 goes nowhere near Seaburn seafront. A livery based on Fulwell Mill or south shields would have been better. Will these be delievered soon?
From Chris at 2008-04-29 08:42:09 : And if the 35 went along the seafront I'd understand that but again I don't see the relevence of this to the 35. But nevermind, I'm still looking forward to the start of the new brand...
From at 2008-05-21 21:06:49 : I received an e-mail response from Peter Huntley today in response to a query I sent him asking how the Laser got its name. Unfortunately, it's not as inventive as most people have claimed. According to
From Gary at 2008-05-21 21:07:30 : According to Peter Huntley, it gained it's name because of recommendations by staff and 'customers'
From Brandon at 2008-07-06 18:42:12 : I think The Zepher would be a good name for a new branded service aswell. I've seen that some of the SPD Blaydon Racers ( service 10 ) may be replaced with mercedes benz citaros with a new branding. Will these SPD's be de-branded and allocated to other depots?
From Chris W at 2008-07-10 14:17:45 : I think it very likely that if that happens, SPDs will replace any remaining step entrance vehicles in Ashington and elsewhere. Same if the Versas are introduced onto the 53/54, SPDs would cascade onto other routes and depots.
From Nathan Brown at 2008-09-15 21:42:19 : Apparently, washington is going to create a new brand using citaros. the number 7. it will replace the 73/74&x8 in october.
